MicrosoftTeams-image (48)National Electrical Contractors Association (NECA) 2022 Convention and Trade Show took place in Austin from October 15-18th. The AECInspire team attended NECA 2022 as technology exhibitors. Our team was there to talk to electrical contractors about the skilled labor shortage and how we help them address the shortage with prefabrication.

We had a lot of meaningful conversations with the booth visitors

The skilled labor shortage is real, both in the field and the office. Leading NECA contractors across the country have found that prefabrication is the number one tool at their disposal to address the lack of skilled labor. However, contractors have a wide range of technology and prefabrication adoption, and it is okay! At our booth, we spoke with contractors with no to little prefab usage, those who own their prefab shops, and those who are advanced enough to sell their assemblies. We caught up on a lot of topics with our visitors, including:

- How is their company tackling the skilled labor shortage?

- How to prefab from 2D drawings?

- How to prefab without owning a prefab shop?

- Tools and services to adopt or expand manufactured assembly usage

- Find out about our chapter education program

Our Solutions for The Skilled Labor Shortage

We listened to you (the electrical contractor) and also spoke about how AECInspire can help you address the skilled labor shortage; AECInspire Subscription, Take Off as a Service (TOaaS), Innovation Services, Manufactured Assembly Provider (MAP) network, and our NECA Chapter Education Program. We talked about how our solutions enable prefab usage for contractors with little to no prefab or technology experience, as well as expanding prefab for contractors who have been leveraging prefab.

Our New Release and Upcoming Big Release

Right before the event, we released our Assembly Configurator, which is a major step to enable and enhance prefabrication with AECInspire through configurable assemblies, assembly BOMs, build sheets for prefab, and more! We also announced our upcoming big release at the event. Stay tuned for more updates on our big New Year release!

Overall, we were delighted to see everyone in person and catch up on critical topics. Here are more pictures from the event and the AECInspire Team:
